Firstly - A special thank you to those of you who were able to attend the public meeting that occurred this past Saturday, 1 April, at the Lucerne Valley Community Center!
To recap, The Combat Center and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) hosted a joint public meeting at the Lucerne Valley Community Center on Saturday, 1 April 2017. The meeting focused on answering questions concerning the Marine Corps' Large Scale Exercise scheduled 1-30 August 2017 (LSE-17) and the closure of the Shared Use Area. The meeting followed an open house style setting and included the following stations: Desert Tortoise Translocation, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Johnson Valley Application, Shared Use Area Information, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Airspace/Training, and the Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) Video.
