Please join us for the next in a series of Dialogs to discuss critical issues that affect the Sierra Nevada, the Cascades, and the people who live, work, and recreate there. Participants are invited to consider the future, specifically the management of national forests, and gain an understanding of different perspectives.
Participants will explore key questions about how national forests revise their land management plans under the new requirements of the 2012 Planning Rule. We will focus on four important elements of forest planning:
·         Managing the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail on national forests in California

·         Wild and Scenic Rivers study requirements under the 2012 Planning Rule

·         Wilderness identification and evaluation under the 2012 Planning Rule

·         Species of Conservation Concern in forest plan revisions

The insights and ideas shared in the Dialog will inform the long-term planning and decision making regarding our forests’ sustainability. Come learn about other communities and stakeholders; come lend your voice to the conversation.
